Why use a broker?
A mortgage broker can be seen as a home loan expert. In most cases, lending is all they do and can give you professional advice to match your needs with a suitable lending solution. Given that a home loan is probably the biggest expense you will ever have, it pays to get the best advice possible.
A great mortgage broker will save you time, effort and most likely money in selecting a home or commercial loan. Some brokers offer an expanded choice of finance products including leasing, personal loans and business finance. And of course, many brokers offer comprehensive post settlement services to look after your needs of tomorrow.
How do you find the best home loan for me?
Firstly – by using our skill and expertise. Having access to hundreds of loan products from a range of lenders is only part of the story. Identifying the client’s needs and applying the best solution is where the skill factor comes into play. Of course we do have the assistance of some fairly sophisticated software to help with the hunt – but there is no substitute for experience.
Do you charge fees?
In almost all cases the answer is no. We are paid by the lenders.
The interest rates would be the same or better than if you were to arrange the loan yourself. The only exception may be for some more complex commercial or development loans which are generally arranged on a pre-negotiated fee for service.
How much can I borrow?
This is a tricky one as it varies from lender to lender. You can use our generic calculator to get a rough guide. But we strongly suggest that you speak with one of our expert consultants if you want a more accurate estimate.
Should I refinance?
The answer is – only if there is a significant advantage by doing so. We will assist you in arriving at that decision by properly costing the exercise for you and conducting a free Health Check on your current loan.
